Vanguard’s Investment Stewardship team plays various roles in the proxy voting process for Vanguard funds across the globe. Generally, the Investment Stewardship team is responsible for administering proxy votes on behalf of Vanguard’s internally managed funds. For externally managed funds, proxy voting responsibilities were delegated to those funds’ external managers in 2020.

While the Vanguard ETFs are designed to be as diversified as the original indices they seek to track and can provide greater diversification than an individual investor may achieve independently, any given ETF may not be a diversified investment.
